A mark used as a substitute fir a signature in a certain instance. A person who cannot sign his or her full name on a document may mark an "X" on the signature line; notary or witness must then attest to the identity of the signatory; a mark on a map to indicate a location.

Yield
A rate of return on an investment, expressed as a percentage of the original investment; for an income property, the ratio of a property's annual new income to its cost.
